The kit

U.S. Navy PBR 31 Mk.II “Pibber” and it’s classic Tamiya quality all the way. Clean molding, excellent fit, and very little drama during assembly. It’s a straightforward build that lets you focus on painting and detailing rather than fighting parts.

Detail is solid out of the box, and it really comes alive with careful paintwork and some weathering. The open layout gives you plenty of chances to add extra touches if you want, but it also looks great built stock. Overall, a smooth, enjoyable build and an iconic Vietnam-era subject that earns its reputation.
